and i think one of the most beautiful things just might be
spring breezes in the summer
warm breezes in the winter
serendipitous surprises just because
just because you are who you are
and, love, this is all you ever needed to hear
orange lullabies and bedtime stories we still hold dear
and the sparrow chirps back when its babies call
the flowers dance even as the nights they fall
because someone out there just maybe, really knows
how this story was meant to go, yet
that doesn’t stop us from hoping, holding, making wishes
turning just any other dandelion from weed to wings as
the spring breeze blows even as far north as we are.
and ice-cream and stickers that glow in the dark
and animal hats and cake and wandering stars
still do sing, truly. so he takes her hand, truly.
and i think this just might be one of the most beautiful things
this life this love this everything in the everyday this
just because you are. you are.

082.
How long is it going to be like this?
Until things change.
Will they? Change?
They will.
How do you know?
Everything’s always changing.
And she’ll be okay?
We’ll all be okay.
catch-up post. about musical theatre class. :)
so, as mentioned before, in the spirit of carpe diem summer, i joined a musical theatre class with my sister a few weeks ago. :O
here’s what i was going to post after our first class a few weeks back:
“so we just attended our first musical theatre class the other day, and it was pretty fun! 😀
i joined a musical theatre class :<
so one of the things i’ve always loved was the idea of working on a huge project together with a lot of people, and then finally presenting it to an audience (like they do in those movies about performances and stuff xD).
i used to be one of the quieter kids back in elementary/middle school, so even if i was part of some of the school plays and performances, i always felt like i was kind of on the sidelines, or not really there.
and in high school, i didn’t join many clubs, nor take any drama classes, or anything, so.
i often felt like i kind of missed out on that feeling of a “performance”, haha.
so in the spirit of carpe diem summer,
my sister and I apparently decided to join a musical theatre class with a stage performance at the end i don’t know how this is going to go – the first class is today 😡 – and i’m a little nervous – i hope everyone there isn’t too much older than me – i have a knack for kind of embarrassing myself in situations, since i’m such a silly person LOL! – aaahhhh *fingers crossed* xD hope this goes welllll. wish me luck? :B
oh, by the way.
i have no experience in either singing or acting. oh my~
fire and ice. (rough sketch of characters from my novel)

just a really rough sketch of two characters from one of my WIP fantasy novel type things ^^” xD
i’m trying to tell stories (my writing projects)
but i’m pretty new to novel/story writing, so.
please. i’ll be posting excerpts and things, and any feedback at all would be much appreciated! ^^ thank you in advance~
to start this off, some of the projects i am working on:
1. novel called “in case you cared” a slice-of-life, coming-of-age type story told in a mixture of poetry and prose
2. a series of short story type snippets about a family, called “life with the charming family”; i’m doing this as a writing exercise and i’ll try to post an entry for it at least once a week starting sometime next week ^^
3. novel series called “the storytellers”, a group of novels about different people who love to tell stories, each person using a different medium (painting, directing, composing music, writing, etc.). part fantasy, part slice-of-life. dual world settings.
related post(s):
sometimes, i sit on the trees while i write;
faster, faster, faster!
more excerpts:
i want you to be happy;
please be okay;
so. i hope you will support me as i try to find my way around this writing thing. ^^ i have a bad habit of dropping projects before they are finished if i have no one holding me accountable for them, so hopefully, posting regularly on this blog will help me actually see these writing projects through. 🙂
thank you to anyone who has taken the time to read this~
i hope you will leave me a comment, and maybe we can get to know each other ^^ i am always up for meeting new people, and making new friends 😀

psychogeography project
another fun thing for the summer.
going on a derive.
what is a derive?
The derive is described as a practice of “getting lost” in a place on purpose, abandoning the goal of a destination, and simply drifting through an area and discovering new ways to experience it. You know how usually when people go outside, we have some sort of a destination in mind? And we don’t usually take the time to actually take in our surroundings, or explore different routes, other than what is familiar to us? Yeah. This works to counter that. =)
and psychogeography?
Psychogeography refers to the emotional and behavioural effects a geographical environment has on a person.
so basically, for my final project in my art and activism class, i had to go outside. and get lost.
seriously. 😀
what fun.
😛
and, you know, discover things about the area that me, or most people, usually wouldn’t. interact with the environment in unconventional ways, like standing on park benches, and talking to lots and lots of strangers. and also taking a LOT of pictures! 😀
i went on the walk with my sister and a friend. 🙂 everything is more fun when you have someone there to share it with. ;D
here’s something new you could try: go outside, and get lost! 😀
here’s a good read to check out if you’re interested in trying out something like this: http://www.mookychick.co.uk/pagan-wicca-witch/psychogeography.php
of course you don’t have to follow what the article says. just do whatever feels right to you. =) it’s all personal and stuff, so. it makes sense if you get to decide how you want to do it.
i just love this calendar.
I’ve had one of these for the last couple of years (2011, and 2012). And of course, one for 2013.
The artwork is beautiful (love all the flowers and birds!), the quotes are lovely and inspiring, and it is so fitting in my carpe-diem themed room (and life). Seriously, my favourite calendar ever. 🙂

june.03.2013. things that made this day awesome
1. i’ve figured some things out about myself
2. the flowers outside my house
i was walking along to school pondering about things, and the beautiful smell of these purple flowers (i don’t know many flower names! sorry! >.<) just broke my train of thought. the scent is so strong, you can smell it from like a few feet away, and it smells beautiful! and looks just as pretty! they were so pretty that i had to just stop and smell the flowers! like, literally! ;D awesome stuff.
3. i had a chat with my professor about psychogeography and lifelike art (+got a 100 on an assignment ^^”)
4. i helped my little sister choreograph moves for her talent show audition tomorrow
